These terms govern your use of this website and our text message program. This website is operated by California Shutters and Shades LLC, trading as California Shutters, a window treatment company serving South Florida.
What we do
We sell, manufacture, and install interior window treatments, principally plantation shutters. We provide free in-home consultations and written estimates. Nothing on this website is an offer to sell at a stated price; pricing is provided in a written estimate after we measure your openings.
Using this website
Use this website lawfully and do not attempt to disrupt it. Submitting a request through the form does not create a contract. A contract is formed only when you sign a written order and we receive your deposit.
Requests and appointments
When you submit a request we will try to contact you within 24 to 48 hours. Appointment times are arranged directly with you and can be changed by either of us with reasonable notice.
Text message program
Our text message program is operated through Twilio. You can join it in two ways: by ticking the consent box on our contact form, or by giving verbal consent on the telephone when you book a consultation or installation, after we read you a short disclosure. Those are the only two ways to join.
It sends exactly two kinds of message, and nothing else:
- One appointment reminder, sent the day before a scheduled consultation or installation.
- One review invitation, sent after your installation is complete, inviting you to leave a review. It contains a link to californiashutters.com/review.
- Participation is optional and is not a condition of any purchase.
- Message frequency varies and depends on your appointments.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help.
- We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Product images and descriptions
Product images on our product pages are illustrations of each style, not photographs of installed work. Wood grain, paint, and stain vary between batches, and screens render colour differently. We bring physical samples to your consultation so you can see the actual finish before you order.
Warranty
Warranty terms are stated in your written order and estimate. Nothing on this website adds to, changes, or replaces those terms.
Intellectual property
The content of this website, including photographs and the California Shutters name and logo, belongs to us and may not be reproduced without permission.
Limitation of liability
This website is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
